Pir Shabda Kahn
A direct disciple of the American Sufi Master, Murshid Samuel Lewis, Shabda has been practicing Sufism since 1969. In 2001 he became the Pir (Spiritual Director) of the Sufi Ruhaniat International, the lineage tracing from Hazrat Inayat Khan and Murshid Samuel Lewis.
He has studied and performed North Indian Classical Vocal Music under the guidance of the late Master Singer, Pandit Pran Nath, since 1972. He is also a disciple of the illustrious Tibetan Master, the 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche.

Dances of Universal Peace
Singing and chanting sacred, ancient phrases creates a heart opening, full body healing vibration, and when conscious movement is added it becomes a powerful spiritual practice.
We welcome all people, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, vaccination status or socioeconomics.
We strive to make this a safe and welcoming spot for all those in our community. Children are welcome to participate or play outside with a caretaker.

Explore: the lush natural wonders of Maui, Hawaii, famous for its pure creamy beaches and majestic mountains.
We will be at a beautiful rural retreat near Haiku, on the green north side of Maui.
We will be providing wonderful organic meals. We have a lovely sacred indoor dance space, and also a large outdoor covered dining space.

We are soliciting housing accommodations from the community.
Refunds
Deposit is refundable up to one month before the event until Nov 6th, less a $25 admin fee.
After that we will refund all your payment less $25 if we can fill your spot, or half of it if we cannot.

Please research the airbnb options in the area of Haiku, Paia, Huelo, Makawao. You will need a car for those options.
Other options are:
A dorm bed in a cottage on site.
Camping on site in your own tent ($50 extra cost for 2 nights)
Camping on site in your RV $50 extra cost for 2 nights)
Extra nights
You can choose to spend an extra night before or after the retreat for additional charge.

Airport Pickups: We can provide pick ups from the Kahului airport, which is 30-40 minutes from the site.
We will help you either carpool together or hire a shuttle.
Shuttle from the Kahului airport are only available Thursday Dec 5th,
or Friday Morning Dec 6th at 9 am, and are $40 extra for one person or $30 per person if more than one in a car.
Return shuttle is available Sunday Dec 8th, at 5 pm. Bring cash for the driver.
If you arrive at an odd time, expect to get an Uber or Taxi.
Or consider renting a car.

Personal Foods: There will be limited room for personal food in one refrigerator.
Our menu is vegetarian or vegan with focus on organic and humanely raised. We provide a rich variety of dishes to cover the various dietary needs of today's health issues, but we are not able to cater to all special diets.
Leave at Home: Alcohol or recreational drugs, valuables of any sort, pets of any kind or size.

We will be taking steps to insure all of our health, including:
*requiring a period of you moving in a relatively tight bubble at least 5 days beforehand:
*refraining from going to large events,
*avoiding anyone who is sick,
*We will probably not do a rapid testing of everyone the day the event starts at the site. This depends on the current events.
*If you have any symptoms of illness, please do not come to the event.
*No vaccination required.
